  • Established in Every Good Work and Word (vv. 16-17)

  • Stand Firm (v. 15)

Discussion Starters

Monday—Why does Paul begin and end this section with God’s love for you? What happens when you doubt God’s love?

Tuesday—Is the fact that God chooses us and we don’t choose him (v. 13) an offensive doctrine or a comforting one? Why? What drives God’s choice?

Wednesday—What are some ways false teaching harms people? What can you do to stand firm against false teaching?

Thursday—Why are worldly pleasures tempting when times are hard? How is God calling you to stand firm against the temptations of the world?

Friday—What is despair? Why is it tempting when times are hard? Why is it wrong for Christians to give in to despair?
