Discussion Starters

Monday—Do you ever look at the way someone walks and make assumptions about them? Discuss what it might look like to walk in both confidence and humility.
Tuesday—What does the title “Lord” ascribed to Jesus Christ say about his identity? What does it mean to receive Christ Jesus as Lord?
Wednesday—Why do you think Paul uses the idiom “walking” so much? How did we walk formerly and how should we walk in Christ in contrast?
Thursday—Discuss Paul’s shift in metaphor, i.e. from walking to being rooted. Can believers go anywhere apart from being rooted in Christ? Where do we find an imagery for being rooted yet actively prospering?
Friday—What would you think of Jesus Christ if you saw the way he walked? Would you think he was the long-expected Messianic king of Israel? Why or why not?
